The Rose Complex is a year-round destination for events, gardening, and community gatherings located in the heart of Tyler. The City’s plan emphasizes the development of modern and welcoming facilities that support tourism, local events, and everyday usage, all while honoring Tyler’s rose heritage.

Since 2021, several significant improvements have been made. Harvey Hall was demolished to pave the way for a modern venue, and in 2023, the W. T. Brookshire Conference Center opened, providing a flexible space for conferences, trade shows, and community events. The Mayfair Building was renovated to restore its historic charm while enhancing both comfort and accessibility, and it reopened in April 2024. Additionally, an adjacent north of The Mayfair Building was removed to improve safety, visibility, and the flow of events.

In the 2025-2026 fiscal year, the City plans to implement further enhancements. These include replacing stamped concrete beds, continuing the demolition and remodeling of outdated fairground facilities to create more functional spaces, upgrading the elevator at the Rose Garden Center to enhance accessibility, installing new holiday decorations at the Rose Garden Center; and improving pond filtration systems in the Rose Garden and Meditation Garden to ensure better water quality and plant health.

Future renovations will involve creating a designated space for food trucks to serve visitors, adding an extra layer of convenience and enjoyment for guests. These projects aim to enhance the experience, increase event capacity, and preserve one of Tyler’s most cherished destinations.
